Black Powder - The Last Argument of Kings

Warlord Games have announced the impending arrival of the first Black Powder supplement titled The Last Argument of Kings : Warfare in the 18th Century.  Wars covered will include

  • The War of the Spanish Succession – the Battle of Blenheim (1704)
  • The Great Northern War – the Battle of Holowczyn (1708)
  • The Austro-Turkish Wars – the Battle of Petrovardin (1716)
  • The War of the Austrian Succession – the Battle of Fontenoy (1745)
  • The Wars of the English Succession – the 1745 Rebellion
  • The Seven Years’ War – the Battle of Hundorf (1762)
  • War in the Colonies – The French Indian War & The War in India
  • Raids and Invasions – Amphibious Warfare in the 18th Century
Very interesting indeed.  Can't wait for an American Civil War supplement.

Cool. I don't even game the period, but I picked up the original Black Powder rulebook just for the eye-candy in it.

looks nice and I'll second your thoughts on the ACW version.

Well looks like I'm gaming the Zulu war with the BP rules as Michael is very keen.

The supplement looks good and covers a load of interesting subjects.

Thanks paul,

Helen

Love the consistent art style with all of Warlord's stuff, although the rules are too large-scale for me...ho-hum...good though.

Really looking forward to it. Our group has played at least 70 SYW games using Black Powder, so it will be interesting to see how close to official we've gotten!

Any word on what the price will be or when it will be available worldwide outside of the WG website?

I haven't heard anything but am hoping someone knows.

Jon, I have pre-ordered direct from Warlord. Free Worldwide postage. $28.00 Australian Dollars. So probably $30.00 US dollars?
