Company of Heroes

Every so often a new love enters ones life. Company of Heroes is every wargamers dream PC game. Unfortunately a lot of my painting time has now been invested in freeing Europe from the Nazis. If you have not seen this game, get on u-tube and check out the trailers and game-play. One word "AWESOME".

Romano-British

Couple of more figures painted up. A musician and I don't know what the other bloke is meant to be, maybe a goat herder. He will do nicely on the rear rank as a filler. Figures are 28mm Gripping Beast.

Memoir 44 Mediterranean Theatre

My latest acquisition is the Mediterranean expansion pack for Memoir 44. I decided to buy this after hearing a review on the Meeples and Miniatures podcast. Neil described the British infantry as horrible, and I have to agree. The figures are in 8th Army desert uniform but it appears they are wearing American helmets. It's a bit poor but I guess the game is aimed at the general boardgame market. Fans of WWII history will also notice a horrible sight on the picture above. Hint AT weapon. Anyway, the rest of the pack looks good. Crusader tanks and 25pdrs are really well sculpted. Heaps of new desert terrain pieces and medals etc. New desert scenarios. I am looking forward to having a game. And at last, I have British figures to use with the original Memoir 44. It was just plain wrong using American Infantry in British scenarios.
